Why hasn't a water barrier technology been offered before now?

Cover manufacturers have provided to the industry an "adequate" cover by their standards. It looks fine, performs to the industry standard for a couple of years, and then they get to sell you another one! They like to see return customers every few years.

Why did we develop AccuLok™?

The staff at Diverse Designs Limited, LLC has been involved in the spa hot tub industry for over 20 years. Improvements have continually been made to the hot tub; lights, controls, insulation, jet action, etc. enhancing the enjoyment of hot water therapy.

The one item left behind, and a source of disappointment with most hot tub owners, is the cover. We listened to the customer and spent nearly four years researching a solution to water absorption. The problem has been addressed with the introduction of Acculok; hot tub covers that stay a lighter weight, assuring long term satisfaction for hot tub owners.

Does a hot tub cover have insulation qualities when it gets water logged?

The insulation value decreases with the absorption of water. As water is absorbed into the air pockets of the foam core, the insulating air pockets can no longer function as intended. The insulation effectiveness decreases rapidly.

Why does my hot tub cover have "puddles" ?

In traditional covers, the foam core absorbs water, becomes heavy and loses strength integrity. It often times breaks, or sags, creating an area for rain to accumulate and "puddle". The foam core, once water-logged, also loses insulation properties.

With AccuLok™ Hot Tub Covers, the foam core stays dryer, does not become weak, as older design covers do, and the insulation quality remains far longer.
